Health never be silent

Never Be Silent. Never Surrender.

Today is Martin Luther King Jr., Day, and in that spirit I must speak my truth. He once said, “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” A longer version with the same sentiment reads:

“You may be 38 years old, as I happen to be. And one day, some great opportunity stands before you and calls you to stand up for some great principle, some great issue, some great cause. And you refuse to do it because you are afraid…. You refuse to do it because you want to live longer…. You’re afraid that you will lose your job, or you are afraid that you will be criticized or that you will lose your popularity, or you’re afraid that somebody will stab you, or shoot at you or bomb your house; so you refuse to take the stand. Well, you may go on and live until you are 90, but you’re just as dead at 38 as you would be at 90. And the cessation of breathing in your life is but the belated announcement of an earlier death of the spirit.”

Martin Luther King Jr. fought for equal rights and fair treatment for everyone regardless of their skin color. The injustices faced by the African-American race continue today. In fact, thousands upon thousands of African-American young children were harmed by the MMR vaccine over the past decade. In 2004 and possibly sooner, research scientists at the CDC were aware that this vaccine received on schedule was associated with an over 300% increased risk of autism for young boys of that race. What did they do? They brought in a giant trash can and and threw all the documents that showed a link, about 100,000  total, in the trash. Only years later did Dr. William Thompson, pricked by guilt, confess to Dr. Brian Hooker about what he and his colleagues did. The calls were recorded. At one point Dr. Thompson admits, “I was complicit, and I went along with this, we did not report significant findings . . . I have great shame now when I meet families with kids with autism because I have been part of the problem.”

Since then, parents of vaccine-injured children, Representative Bill Posey, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., leaders of the Nation of Islam and others have been pressuring Congress to subpoena Dr. Thompson and launch an investigation into this incident. In one week from today, Ben Swann at Truth in Media will report on this issue. Activists across the nation are calling on their representatives to pressure Congress to subpoena Dr. Thompson. You can find my letter to Representative Peter DeFazio here; he has yet to respond.

They will continue to try to brush us off, but we are not going away. We will get stronger, louder and more indignant every day. I repeat, we are not going away.
